The Pan-African Association addresses pre-employment, community building, and social adjustment issues through a series of programs including: Mentoring Youth, Adults, and the Elderly Enabling African immigrants and refugees to become more familiar with the American lifestyle.
Community Development Workshops Teaching civic skills to better allow individuals to navigate service agencies, school systems, housing issues, and more. Wellness Programs Providing Health and Adjustment Workshops alongside support groups. Economic Services Supporting entrepreneurial initiatives. Academic Advisory Services Encouraging youth and adults to continue their education. Vocational Services Providing workshops and mentoring programs that impart deeper understanding of the American workplace. Cultural Programs Preserving cultural heritage and building neighborhood support through workshops, performances, exhibits, and community outreach. Community Planning Forum To ensure community involvement throughout all planning stages, the Pan-African Association holds quarterly community forums for individuals representing each segment of Chicago's African population. These forums enable leaders to voice their concerns and discuss the needs of their groups.
