Our services include job readiness and placement, mentoring, employment-related workshops, utilization of our computer lab, and integration and acculturation services.
Job Readiness Services Pan-African Association's employment staff assists job seekers in determining career options and learning the skills they need in order to obtain and maintain employment. After careful assessments, a special program is developed for each person, ensuring access to skills in job application completion, interviewing, workplace orientation, resume writing, and more.
Individual Mentoring One-on-one tutoring and group mentoring sessions are available for anyone who seeks additional help in preparing for the workforce. Guidance includes English as a second language and computer instruction.
Job Placement Services
PAA's Job Development Specialist matches clients' skills and interests with the needs of potential employers. In many cases, individuals attend job trips to area companies with PAA staff. Once a client has been employed, our Job Development Specialist maintains relationships with employers to ensure an employee's performance is more than satisfactory. Mediation services can also be provided to ensure both employers and employees are happy.
Pan-African Association Computer Lab Clients may conduct individual job search in the Pan-African Association's computer lab, which includes software to aid in the preparation of resumes and cover letters.
