Kathryn has been volunteering with Pan-African Association since August 2015 and has been working on numerous projects. As our Development Intern, she uses her previous knowledge in donor relations and strategic planning to help PAA in this very important area. She has contributed greatly towards a community outreach effort to raise awareness, support, and interest to Pan-African Association and its mission. A forward thinker, Kathryn constantly seeks creative ways to garner more interest from our supporters and community.
Kathryn’s most recent project was “Giving Tuesday” which took place on December 1st. This movement was aimed to support the growth and development of the Pan-African Association through monetary donations. Kathryn worked extensively to provide constant updates and reminders about the event through social media and emails. Thanks to her incredible effort we had a successful first year participating in Giving Tuesday!
Kathryn enjoys working at Pan-African Association because she relates to the mission and feels responsible to advocate on refugees’ behalf. She plans to stay in non-profit work and learn about refugees first hand through involvement.
Keep up the good work, Kathryn!
