Volunteer
Become a Pan-African Volunteer!

Are you interested in a meaningful volunteer opportunity? The Pan-African Association (PAA) has a real need for dedicated and committed volunteers. Volunteers serve our organization in a number of ways and are an integral part of our organization and its mission of helping others to live happer, healthier, more self-sufficient lives.

Current Opportunities:

Mentoring Program: Assisting with English language learning, job readiness, or insights about life in the USA by forming a one-on-one friendship with someone new to our country.

ESL Group Mentoring Classes: Facilitate or assist with English language learning for job readiness in PAA evening classes.  Develop curriculum, create activities, and give individualized attention to adult students.

Community Support Partnership: Organize your peers and/or community members to support gift drives and special events.

Workshop Facilitator: Share your expertise. PAA has an ongoing need for presenters on topics like employment, health, financial literacy and adjustment related issues.

Interpretation/Translation: PAA is always looking for fluent speakers of African languages to assist people with navigating in their new city, attend meetings with PAA staff and other service providers, and translate documents.

PAA is open to arranging volunteer opportunities for student, community, or church groups.

If you would like to volunteer, please come in and fill out an application or contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 773-381-9723, ext. 24 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
